Product Information:
Everlast Rubber Mulch is manufactured from recycled tires.
The tires are shredded to pieces that are 1" and less.
Color is then added, and a special drying process of 500 degrees
is used to ensure that the color will not bleed in the bag nor
in your beds. Everlast Rubber Mulch can be used anywhere traditional
mulch is used. Its long-lasting beauty is perfect for gardens and pathways.
Non-toxic Everlast Rubber Mulch is guaranteed not to fade for at least
five years, and will continue to retain its color for 10 years or more.
Everlast Rubber Mulch will not sink into the soil, nor provide a food
source for termites. Everlast Rubber Mulch is a beautiful, long-lasting,
and virtually maintenance-free mulch that will be enjoyed for years.
New
Everlast Kids Mulch is safe, non-toxic, and 100% steel-free
for use under swing sets and on playgrounds.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Is EVERLAST RUBBER MULCH safe for my family and pets?
A. Absolutely. EVERLAST RUBBER MULCH is 100% non-toxic, non-leaching, and environmentally friendly.
Q. Where does the rubber come from?
A. EVERLAST RUBBER MULCH is made of 100% recycled tires. Every cubic yard of EVERLAST RUBBER MULCH
eliminates approximately 33 tires.
Q. Is there any odor?
A. No. Usually within 48 hours of installation any trace smell is gone.
Q. Is EVERLAST RUBBER MULCH safe for all plants?
A. All plant types will thrive with EVERLAST RUBBER MULCH. Soil water retention is excellent,
but the mulch does not retain water. And, unlike organic mulches,
rubber does not promote fungus growth.
Q. Will EVERLAST RUBBER MULCH wash out?
A. No. Even in areas prone to wash out, EVERLAST RUBBER MULCH will not wash out,
nor run down over your sidewalk or driveway.
Q. Do I need to install a weed barrier first?
A. Absolutely not! Weed barriers trap soil on top and retain moisture, creating the perfect
environment for weed seed. Placing a weed barrier under Everlast Rubber Mulch
will diminish the weed-controlling properties of the material.
Q. Does the rubber kill the weeds?
A. No. The rubber will not prevent weed seed that is already in the soil from
germination. You can apply a pre-emergent before installation to kill the seed
or apply a "RoundUp" type product a few weeks after installation. Once the weed
seed is out of the soil, Everlast Rubber Mulch will trap the airborne weed seed,
which will then dehydrate before it germinates. You should notice a 90% reduction in weed growth.
Q. Will weed killer discolor Everlast Rubber Mulch?
A. No. Weed killer will not affect Everlast Rubber Mulch in any way, but do take
caution with dry granulated fertilizer, though. Be sure to water it in because the
oxidizers in the dry fertilizer could chemically burn the colorants.
Q. How long will Everlast Rubber Mulch hold its color?
A. In most environments, the material will stay attractive for 5+ yrs. Total color
loss will take 10 years. If ever necessary, colorants are available for home
applications to recolor the mulch.
Q. How do I remove leaves and debris from my landscape?
A. Simply use a hand-held or backpack blower from a few feet away. Most dry
material will blow out easily. Pine needles are more difficult; therefore,
using a natural-colored Everlast Rubber Mulch will be your best bet for pine-needle areas.
Q. Should I use regular Everlast Rubber Mulch for playgrounds?
A. No. Everlast Kids Rubber Mulch is manufactured for this type of application.
